SFE EURUSD EA
« on: June 10, 2019, 10:48:26 PM »
The Smartforexexpert EURUSD advisor, uses 7 different 'price action style' system on the EURUSD pair, on the M5, M15, M30, H1 timeframes.

The EURUSD pair offers in general the best performance in the major part of the SFE EAs.  In this EA, a selection of SFE systems has been rewritten and configured explicitly for get the best performance in the EURUSD pair.

The EURUSD pair offers in general the best broker execution conditions, with the best spread and without important slippage.

Don't use any kind of martingale, grid or hedge.

Is very lightweight in CPU / RAM resources. Only launches once at the beginning of the bar.

Is very easy to setup and don't require any extra supervision, can be connected 24x7. It can be used by newbies.

June performance of the SFE family:

We think EURUSD EA is a very powerful EA, but we are facing the lowest volatility of the century in the EURUSD pair, so is a very complicated moment right now for make profit.

But this must end soon or later, and we can experiment a big rebound in the activity specially if the announced upcomig economical financial crisis finally explodes.

Let's wait to see if the activity growth next weeks... and the profits comes again...

The Average True Range at the lowes values of the century:

There is a parameter Broker_Adapt_GMT_On_DST_Period in all of your EAs. That does not take into account if the broker changes GMT according to US (e.g. IC Markets) or Europe (e.g. Alpari). Shouldn’t have too much impact but it’s inaccurate.

For those who prefer to customize EAs like me it would be interesting to have the option to define on which weekdays/hours the EA is allowed to open trades.
For me personally this feature would be interesting in SFE Price Action and SFE EURUSD.

I only trade with IC Markets so this doesn't affect me.

But yes Alpari has a different DST schedule (https://alpari.com/en/company/news/115260_07032019/) compared to IC Markets (https://www.icmarkets.com/blog/server-time-changing-to-gmt-3-2019/).

I am not sure if Joel's EA detects the DST change automatically or perhaps as you said the trades could be affected and be different between those brokers due to the different hours within that 3-week period? ???

I think for the average users it's probably best not to make the EA too customisable otherwise the EA may no longer be profitable. There was a lot of debate in the past on MQL5 about whether SFE Price Action should trade Fridays and whether trades should be closed before the weekend, only because there were a few losses on Fridays and after some weekends due to the gap on Monday. In the backtest it was already proven leaving the EA on all the time gives the most long term profit, but the human nature always wants to curve fit to reduce the short term loss, but that will actually end up costing the long term profitability of the EA.

At least I know with the default settings, they were already tested by Joel and will be profitable in the long term. :D

Yes, that's what I though, the shouldn't have too much impact. But is an item to review someday.

I understand your point and also Jimmy's point.
My intention is that the EAs must be very easy to use. But some kind of customization I also understand that some user want to do.
It's not easy, because as in general my EAs launches different systems and timeframes for each pair, is a bit complicated externalize some parameters to configure.
But we can find something.
I propose open a discussion about this in the EA laboratory, because I preffer that this thread shows only 'friendly' information without enter in more deep discussions.
